Hey, I'm Allie!

Hi and welcome!  Born and raised on Long Island, I've had a love for the beach my entire life.  I've also always loved taking pictures, but as soon as I touched a "good camera" and pointed it at surfers on the beach, I was hooked on all things photography. It's become that cliché "job that doesn't feel like a job," the one I'd still be doing if I won the lottery and could quit said job.

So who am I?  Momma to the best little boy.  Wife to the best guy. Cat mom to two nutso kitties. My mom is my best friend. My dad inspires me to travel and create. My brother's pretty cool too, but don't tell him I said that. If I run into a doggo I will absolutely ask their human if I can give them pets. Super big mental health advocate here - therapy is cool. Lived in New Zealand in 2012, ask me about it any time. Love to write. Raise Your Glass by P!nk is my hype song and I believe a good mimosa is acceptable at any hour of the day.

Anyway...

One of my favorite pastimes, besides sitting on the beach of course, has always been looking through old photos.  A single second captured brings back all the memories of that moment for me - the sights, the smells, and how I was feeling that day.   When I borrowed my dad's camera for fun to capture my husband surfing, that thing I did "for fun" very quickly turned into a part of me.  Photography has already given me so much, and led me to see the world and people with fresh eyes and new appreciation.  That's what I want to spread - those authentic moments where we are in our element, doing what we love, feeling raw emotion.  I want to freeze those moments to be cherished forever. To document the big moments - but really cherish and remember the little things too. "The little things" - your heels on the beach during your photos, your mom crying during your father-daughter dance, your daughter's little finger while she pokes her cake becuase she hasn't quite grasped the meaning of smash yet. Those little moments - they're the big ones in my eyes. They go too fast - I'll help you make them last forever.

I specialize in waterfront weddings, because I feel the most inspired by the ocean. Contact me if you see yourself getting married at any of these venues, or if you're simply interested in eloping by the ocean!

Being a mom to a very active 2 year old little guy has only made me a better family photographer. I try to capture that "everyone smiling at the camera photo" because let's be honest, I want it for my own family, but I let the kiddos run the session and never force anything. The family photoshoot should be an experience. The more fun you have, the more it will show in those lasting memories! Truly let the kids be kids!
